Oatmeal and Honey Face Mask

MOISTURIZING MASK

1 cup oats

½ cup honey

then add ¼ cup yogurt

FOR OILY SKIN

1 cup oats

¼ cup honey

¼ cup lemon juice.

For either mask, adjust the consistency until you have a paste that you can smooth on.

Oatmeal is gentle, exfoliating, and moisturizing. It’s also naturally anti-inflammatory, so it’s perfect for sensitive or itchy skin. Honey is also moisturizing and soothing.

You don’t need to cook the oatmeal, but you do need it to be finely ground. If you buy the oats for cooking, you’ll need to put them through a blender or Cuisinart to get the more flour-like texture you’ll want for the mask. For either mask, let it stay on your skin for 10–20 minutes before rinsing.
